EP #239 Why Modern Warfare 2 Is Still The New Black

Added: 19.03.2015 7:18 | 16 views | 0 comments

Modern Warfare 2 is still by far one of the best Call of Duty experiences to date. This Iconic masterpiece created by Infinity Ward and published by Activision is a hopeful title for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One owners. Also in the news, Titanfall 2 goes multi-platform and it is the worst kept secret ever. Uncharted 4 gets delayed and so does Homefront: The revolution. Jason Voorhees brings his scare tactics to Mortal Kombat X and Playstation 4 is still the king of the hill by the numbers. Last and certainly not least, Respawn Entertainment stays top of mind by making Titanfalls season pass free.

Petition for Modern Warfare 2 to be Remastered on PS4 and Xbox One Reaches its Goal

Australian gamer Ramez Zahra and more than 150,000 others agree that this should be Infinity Ward and Activisions new project. Whatever you do though, do not give your hopes up. Change.org has a lot of (useless) petitions for things that simply will not happen which have thousands of signatures, if anything I suggest waiting until either Infitinty Ward or Activision speak up on the matter and go from there. While it would be very nice to have a remake of arguably the best Call of Duty to ever hit store shelves, its simply not likely given the fact that there were problems at the time and the co-creators of the game (West and Zampella) left as the game was making waves in the gaming industry.

Titanfall 2 Confirmed in Development at Respawn

Added: 12.03.2015 17:39 | 17 views | 0 comments

Developer Respawn has confirmed that the broadly expected sequel its debut shooter, too. The original launched as an Xbox console exclusive.

Zampella, who is credited with helping shape the Modern Warfare series when he headed up Infinity ward, appeared to be unsure about whether the sequel will introduce a more robust single-player campaign.

"I wouldn't have done it differently," Zampella said reflecting on original's multiplayer-only approach.

"We set out to do it and it was one of our goals. I mean it obviously prohibits a certain group of people playing the game, and as content creators you want to get into as many people's hands as possible. We put some single-player elements in there though, and tried to mix it up. Maybe we could have mixed things up a bit better because some people blew right by it and didn't even see it because there was so much action happening around it. It's tough, because if you hit people over the head with it, it becomes intrusive, and there are people who don't want or care about it. Where does the needle fall? I think it takes a while to figure that out and we haven't figured it out yet."

"I think that's a fantastic way to do it," he said. "I think having the maps like that in packs, it does split the community and it makes it harder for matchmaking, it's messy. Yeah. I don't know we won't do it again, I can't say that for sure, but the idea would be to do something different."
